It’s 1961 & a comic book writer is about to quit the industry. He has been in it for 20 years & now finds it too boring, stagnant, stifled. But his wife urges him to write 1 last issue, the way he wants to. Something he would want to read himself. So he gives it a shot.
He creates a new comic with 4 main super-heroes. But they are not the ‘perfect people’ stereotype of comics. They have flaws, bicker with each other, have fits of bad temper & sadness. They worry about paying bills & impressing others. Overall, they are funny & relatable.
This new comic was the 1st issue of Fantastic Four. It was a huge success & it saved 2 entities: The publishing studio that became Marvel & The creator who was Stan Lee. Everybody was trying to make their heroes more Super. Stan Lee changed the script by making them more Human.
